This is one awesome gem. got this KZ in trade and was going to do Goose mad max replica (fiberglass kits are available from madmaxcars.com) But need to focus on my interceptor Replica so the KZ is up for sale so it can be enjoyed and driven, as apposed to collect dust in my garage.
XXXX KZXXXX ST Shaft drive. Has XXk miles and is in quite good shape. All original except for mirror delete smaller turn signals pod filters and bobbed rear guard. do not have any of the original parts that were removed. The gold sections of paint appear to have been done later. The edges are not super factory clean but the gold with flake is an awesome color combo for this bike. Seat is in excellent shape as are side covers tank and all the important bashable parts. The exhaust does have dent on the left side.
The KZXXXST was one of the original Super Bikes. almost XXX hp and dead reliable. the shaft drive option was new at the time and they are still some of the best designed ones out there. These make epic long distance cruisers and hot streetfighters. This particular one with few little touches could be back to all original show quality quite easily. Or build wicked cafe bike.
The bike will start run drive and stop.....BUT... It needs good going over. The fellow that traded it to me drove it XX miles to my house on XX degree day in january so it will run and drive, but it is extremely cold blooded. it farts and fusses untill its warmed up. It also dribbles bit of oil. looks like shift shaft but its hard to tell. In the months in my garage it leaked about an ounce.
You will need to put fresh battery, oil and gas in, and get good cleaning sync and tune on the carbs. Then it will be ready to rock and roll!
