When the inline four-cylinder CBXXX was introduced in XXXX the motorcycle was literally game-changer. The bike is considered to be the original superbike because of its extraordinary features: speed, luxury and reliability.

This bike was true barn find! The cycle sported XXXX license plate when discovered and is believed to have been parked since then. The bike was complete and in fabulous condition for its age except that the tank paint had been marred by spill of some kind of solvent and the original into exhaust was too rusted to save.

I consider this restoration to be mostly stock mild resto-mod. There was no attempt to greatly alter the classic lines of this vintage cycle. The bike has been gone through front to back and runs as good or better than when it rolled off the factory floor. The bike is completely reliable and can be ridden around the block or around the country. With less than XXXX miles, this bike is barely broken in. took it on an XXX mile road trip nearly all the way around Lake Superior this summer with absolutely zero issues. Everything works as it should: headlight, taillight, turn signals, speedometer, tachometer, warning lights, etc. Sale will include paint matching his and hers helmets. 


The cycle has undergone the following during the restoration process:

- Fuel tank professionally stripped and painted including racing stripe.
- Side covers professionally painted.
- Frame painted.
- Chain guard painted.
- Taillight housing painted.
- Seat professionally reupholstered.
- into headers with new mufflers. The original heat shields were incorporated for vintage look.
- Four new NGK spark plugs and plug leads.
- Carburetors rebuilt, cleaned and synced. 
- Front caliper rebuilt.
- New tires.
- New cables.
- Smaller vintage turn indicators.
- New flasher unit.
- Bar end mirrors added.
- Full oil and filter change XX/XX/XX.

Full disclosure: the bike fell on the left side while running parked in my driveway few days ago. The fall scratched the stator cover (as shown in photo) and slightly tweaked the left handlebar. The rubber tip on the the clutch lever was also scraped. No other damage was noted. have purchased replacement set of handlebars and clutch lever from Vintage XXX. The bars are made specifically for the CBXXX and are factory drilled for the wiring. simply have not had time to install these items but they will be included with the sale. repair manual will also be included.
