Thisis ???No Reserve??? auction for XXXX Honda CBXXXE. It will need totalrestoration and bonded title to get it back on the road. It is completebike. Terms of theAuction:First off, if youare interested in the bike, READ THEENTIRE DESCRIPTION. For the overwhelming majority of good, decent eBaybuyers out there, my apologies for having to include this section. But, sinceeBay Motors has become little better than Craig??s List of late and eBay couldcare less if ???buyer??? pays or not, must add this information. (Ignore the PayPal deposit request. eBay's matrix is screwed up.) If you are high bidder when thisauction ends, you have entered into contract with me to follow through withthe instructions for and completion of payment and pick-up of your bike. willkeep up my end as seller; you need to cooperate with me and keep up yours asthe buyer. Ifyou have XX or fewer feedback scores with eBay then email me BEFORE you bid tolet me know you are serious. If you do not, will cancel your bid to keep theauction open to serious bidders. History of Bike: This is what know. This bikehas been owned by two previous owners, both in southeast Iowa, since it waspurchased new at the Honda dealership in Dubuque. It last ran in some XX yearsago, so long time since it??s been started and on the road. pulled it out ofthe back of an old garage along with parts bike. It doesn??t appear to havebeen abused and (when got it) was stored out of the weather. Mechanical: Currently the bike is not running but see no reason that itwon??t again with good carburetor cleaning, oil/filter change, and completecheck-over by qualified Honda mechanic (or someone gifted with those skills).(I don??t have the skills to do those tasks myself.) The owner said it wasrunning well and it was driven into the garage bought it from. The engineturns over freely with the kick starter. The clutch cable is rusted/stuck butthe transmission shifts freely thru the gears and it is easy to find neutral. Electrical: All of the lights, gauges, etc.are hooked through the original wiring and should work properly if hooked to abattery. Tires: Both front and rear tires are toast. Brakes: The front brake cable isrusted/stuck so can??t test that. The rear works properly. Chrome: The chrome is typical for an oldbike. Overall it is in good-to-very good condition with some age pitting inplaces. There is ton of chrome on this bike and it really makes for sharpappearance. Paint: The black frame paint is fair butcould use good detailing with rubbing compound to make it jump out at you.The Honda green tank and side covers are highly faded. Seat: The seat is original to the bikeand the top is in poor condition. Inside the hinges and document door areintact. Legal: The bike is sold with no warrantyand (as mentioned) does not run at this time. There are no liens orrestrictions on the bike and there is also NO TITLE and it will be sold with aBill of Sale only.Theframe number and engine number do not match but this is not at all unusual forHonda motorcycle factory assembly practices. have no reason to doubt thisengine is the one installed in the bike at the factory. Payment: have found this payment methodworks the best for all involved. Iaccept only two forms of payment. One would be Money Order from theUSPS (no other off-brands). The second method would be Certified Cashier??sCheck drawn on major U.S.bank (Wells Fargo, etc.). If you plan to pick it up within five (X) days then Iwill accept cash upon pickup.Payment must be remitted to mewithin five (X) days of the end of the auction. (That means you must go to thebank or post office the next day, get it in an envelope and mail it. It willget to me from anywhere in the country within the five day limit). Pick-Up: would like the bike gone withinXX days of the end of the auction. It will be your responsibility to either getit yourself or contract with commercial shipper. will help you load it orcooperate with the shipper of your choice. (Try to avoid U-Ship)! Conclusion: Read the entire auction. Look atall the pictures and use the enlargement feature to check out the condition ofthe various parts. You can see from my feedback that treat my buyers well and run honestauctions; treat people the way would want to be treated; it??s as simple asthat. Ask lotsof questions; will promptly, accurately and honestly answer them for you. I??ll answer afew here that always get with bike auctions: X. Willyou trade it for (fill in blankwith whatever you have sitting on blocks behind your garage)? NO, thank you. X. Can Iride it home? NO; read the descriptioncarefully. X. Can Ipay cash the day pick it up? Yes, ifwithin five days; read the description carefully. X. Ireally like your bike but first have to sell my old one and pay off coupleloans have. Will you hold it for me? NO,thanks for looking. X. Whyare you so hard-core with your auction? Have you been burned on eBay before? YES.
