Time at XX years of age to startthinning the collection. am selling my unrestored owner original paint SkylineBlue/Birch White XXXX Harley Davidson XL Sportster, VIN XXXLXXXX, very early bike. This motorcycle was purchased by me from the originalowner and have clear Pennsylvania title in my name. The bike starts, runs, shifts and rides very well and in my opinion betterthan expected for XX year old motorcycle. was told by the original ownerthat the mileage (XX,XXX) on the speedometer is actual mileage and have noreason to doubt this. Belly numbers are XXX XXXX and matching. The engine hasnever been disassembled to the best of my knowledge. Attached photographsshould bear this out.The oil tank, tool box and originalkicker arm along with some miscellaneous sundries had been chrome plated early in the bike??�s life. Tour Pack (which comes with the bike) if requested was added and holes (in photos) drilled in the rear fender to accommodate homemade mounting bracket for the Tour Pack. will not reinstall the Tour Pack asit is not correct for this bike and will require complicated installation.  I removed the Tour Pack which believe detracted from the overall appearance of this Classic First Year Sportster.I have taken several close upphotographs of significant importance to first year Sportsters that those truecollectors and aficionados will recognize and appreciate. For example the date codesand triangle logo on the original engine cylinders which have never beenremoved from the engine as well as the original factory silver paint stillremaining as well as photos of possibly the nicest original seat have seen on aXXXX Sportster. Original choke assembly, ???window??? air filter cover attached tothe original Linkert DCX carburetor and original casting numbers on the neverremoved rocker boxes, not to mention what appears to be the original ???clothlacquer??? covered  clutch and brake cables.  fewminor pieces of hardware may have been changed over the XX years of thismotorcycles life, however as you can see by the photographs XX% of the hardwareis correct down to the straight slotted rear fender brace screws with rarelyseen proper X/XX??? concave tooth lock washers. As you can see in the photographs the right rear passenger foot peg has been removed, the rare mounting bracket is still attached to the bike. It is likely that the footrest was removed so that no interference with the kick starting process was encountered. do have period correct white "Dixie"  covered footrest that can go with the bike if desired. could go on, but will let thephotographs speak for themselves. personal inspection will verify theoriginality of this motorcycle.If you are ???spit and polish???, Xfoot deep paint luster collector, this bike is NOT  for you. If on theother hand you are looking for an unrestored with expected nicks and scratches firstyear Iconic XXXX Sportster with less than normal wear and tear for XX yearold Classic unrestored motorcycle, here is your opportunity to own one.I encourage inspection by the bidderor their agent prior to bidding. am retired and will make every effort tomake the bike available for inspection.Needless to say, there is NO WARRANTY either expressed or implied on this XX year old motorcycle. have additional photos that can be supplied upon request as have utilized the XX photograph limit allowed by Ebay.
