Sold to buyer who backed out of the deal, no hard feelings here it is again
XXXX Harley Davidson XXCI Flathead Serial WLDRXXXX This is not restored as original, it was built to ride utilizing WLA andreproduction parts If it were original I??d be asking heck of lot more forit now wouldn??t I have owned this motorcycle since XXXX, it was rat bike with an over front end anda lot of odd parts blew the original heads on hot summer day because thefat bobs had been replaced with an oil system that was too small to handle the heat. took it apart and it sat for couple ofyears First rebuild was by Dean Lenker of Harrisburg Pa. Dean took basket case and assembled it formeover period of about years. Dean had truckloads of original parts . Dean claimed to have been on the Harley racing team in the XX??s, but called the HDhistorian and they had never heard of him He was in his XX??s when he worked on my XX , learned lot working with him in his shop I rode it for XX years and took it apart again and gave it to Bill Morris of Bloomsburg PAone piece at time over number of years I have receipt for every dollar I??ve spent on this bike including, rebuilding the engine, transmission, generator, distributor and just had Billrebuild the carburetor again this past summer Reproduction Wiring harness, battery box, tool box, speedometer, handle bars, fenders, seat, coil, oil lines spedochain guard wheels lights and linkage Headsare cast iton they should be aluminum Barrelsand heads are WLA as is the MXX Linkert carburetor. Rebuilt speed transmission is unmarked probably WLA as isthe distributor Front end is off of servi car so it has an external front break drum asopposed to it being laced into the wheel All new bushings and bearings were replaced on the front endwhen it was installed. Original Highway Bars, Tanks, Jiffy Stand, fender stand, running boards, frame engine casings, primary chain cover The Jiffy stand was the hardest item to find , they don??t reproduce cast iron parts. Engine rebuilt to .XX over and had Teflon values installed by Bill Morris , runs great on unleaded
Barrels and heads are WLA as is the MXX Linkert carberator. If you don't know Bill check out Bills Old Bike Barn on Rt XX in Bloomsburg Pa) Fenders, Primary, drive cover, tool box and chain guard are all outlined with red pin striping on the black , hard to see in many of the photos. look at the back wheel photo . Oil and Generator lights work, as does the manualdistributor advance . The speedometer showsabout XXX miles,That??s how long the cheesey nylon drive gear on thereproduction spedo drive lasted .I??ve been through dozens of them doubt this bike has X,XXX miles on the rebuilt motor, only ever road it locally I don??t believe this was ever the racing version as it didnot have ball bearings on the cams when took it apart. The original would also have had an intake manifold like Tas opposed to the version on the WLA replaced the original racing cams with WLA cams , still have the originals but they??rebeat It does have one extra tooth on the primary drive gear as aWLDR should
