XXXX Harley Davidson JD Motorcycle.
This was the first Harley-Davidson two cam-engine made available to the public on the JD series. Original XXXX engine, frame, and fork.
The motor turns over freely. The engine will require rebuild as well as the transmission. The engine cases are XXXX according to the belly numbers. Right case XX-XXXX left case is XX-XXXX, the portion of the vin that can be read is XXXX not sure why vin pad had damage no visible cracks. The cylinders have few missing fins on the front and rear. The transmission is mostly complete, but it is missing the kicker cover. It rotates and has the gears inside. What you see in the pictures is what comes with the bike, nothing more nothing less.This is perfect candidate for making neat little race bike for TROG or any other type of vintage racing. It has brand new tires and tubes, front and rear. The rear rim is VL style XX" with brake and sprocket and axle. It has bead, unlike the front, which is clincher style XX" rim. It has good spokes. It needs front axle. The frame looks to be in pretty good condition and has no noticeable repairs or damage that can see.
The tanks are from XXXX DL and in good condition for its age. They can be modified to run on the JD for more cutdown look. The rear motor mount needs repair, as you can see in the photographs, small chunk is missing, the generator/ignition mount needs small repair on mount base. The forks look to be straight with nice old paint, the handlebars are frozen and will need to be rebuilt.
will be listing other JD parts such as more motor and transmission bits and pieces from my collection. This is everything that comes with this bike which was found in storage unit that had been sealed since the XXXXs.
