1990 Harley-Davidson Softail

This is the 'Gray Ghost'- the first year Harley offered the Fatboy. It is the only year softail with painted frame and oil tank that match the tank and fenders. The first year Fatboy was designed to resemble the bombers of WWII that dropped bombs on Japan. The Fatboy model, featured in the movie Terminator X, brought American motorcycles back in the war for US sales. The ball milled covers, yellow accents, and paint are sought after one year only features.

HD makes motorcycles, but also made casings during the Xnd World War. They made the casings for both atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan. The first dropped on Hiroshima was called "Fatman," and the second dropped on Nagasaki was called "Littleboy." When HD decided to name the bike they were originally going to call it the Fatman, but because of some political reasons they took the Fat from Fatman and the boy from Littleboy and named the new bike the Fatboy. 

The casings were silver grey in color with seven gold rings on them to signify the seven continents of the world. They painted the Fatboy the same silver gray and only on the original Fatboy did they place seven gold rings on the motorcycle. You can see some of the gold ring placements on the photos. Although the Fatboy is one of the most popular bikes Harley sells, they have decided to never duplicate the silver-gray color on subsequent Fatboy Motorcycles. 

This is one owner bike that has not been modified or changed other than adding Harley backrest.  We just put new Harley Davidson battery in and changed all the fluids with Harley fluids.  Its ready to go for show or street.  

There couple of paint chips here and there, little wrinkle wave on the rear fender tip.  otherwise in very nice condition.  If you have any questions please give me call at XXX-XXX-XXXX
