Hi and thanks for viewing my listing for my Honda CBXXX.
Ok, the story behind this bike.I originally bought the bike as true barn find from Wales about three years ago. Honestly was actually sitting behind the guys shed in the middle of nowhere! The bike was pretty much shell and once got it home discovered it had allot of work to be done on it.
So the work began. started buying components and parts for it and fitting them as they arrived. Most of these parts in the Xst instance are what call the X% parts that seriously add up. E.g, Ignition and mounting, seat lock, rear brake light switch and mounting, Original XXXX head's up display, new clocks and rhino horn, horn, grips, handle bars,, and so on. am pleased to say that the majority of theses small items that add up have now been purchased. had the seat re built and it had the wrong fuel tank on it for KX. now have the correct tank with the petcock valve on the right hand side. This wasn't cheap..
I also discovered the bike had no wiring set up. So tracked down full wiring set up (regulators and conductors think they are) from the US and fitted that. then bought brand new wiring harness from David Silver Spares and fitted that too.So now she has proper seat, Tank and wiring along with all the other parts that cost me loads!! Time to see how she goes!
I give the Carbs quick once over, replaced the oil filter, replaced the Oil, replaced the plugs and made sure had good spark. give her few kicks for about XX minutes to circulate the Oil through the casing and the head and rigged up for jump start.
Here's the great part and the reason love Honda's! It took about minutes max of turning over with the jump and she came to life! After all those years it ran!! 
Then was happy. had running classic. 
After confirmed it ran then got back to ordering more parts and thinking about getting her to the MOT stage. This is where it changed for me and totally couldn't find the time to do what she needed.
So now as i'm sure you are all aware am looking for new and respectable owner for her. Someone who will complete the restoration and give her back the life she deserves!
Now for the rest of the story.
I have done allot of research on these bikes and KNOW for sure that the USA imports have Highways compliance plate riveted permanently to the right hand side of the goose neck or steering head. was very pleased to see that this bike does not have that plate and by the looks of it, never did.  This got me very excited because it was and still is looking very likely that this bike is an Original UK bike!
I have made calls to the DVLA to track down the paper work and they have told me all need to do is apply for them with statement saying bought the bike as barn find and supply the VIN. unfortunately haven't done this yet because they always said it would take weeks to get it.It is unfortunate that don't have it but i'm confident anyone who knows about these or has experience in bike restorations will know what i'm talking about.

Both VIN and Frame are XXXX. can't tell if the engine has ever been changed but with the corresponding numbers wouldn't have thought they would be.
So, some conditions for serious inquiries only please read!
X. don't have much time but i'm not desperate to sell so don't start offering daft money for this because will ignore you.X. don't want this bike cut in any way to make bobber or cafe racer! These things in my opinion should be fully restored to their original beauty! So no cutting it please!X. If you wish to see it running can do that for you but will need some notice (just day think) to get some fresh fuel into the carbs and attach the pipes.X. No don't have the original pipes for her and if did that would be reflected in the price!X.
