For sale is my XXXX Yamaha YZF-RX. have owned this bike since new (purchase in XXXX) this is legitimately barely used RX at only ~XXXX km's on the odometer. This is no doubt one of the lowest km examples in the country.
I bought it new (see pics), rode it for while, then converted it into track bike. planned to race eventually but never ended up doing more than handful of track days, so put the bike back on the road in XXXX (this was the last time the bike was ridden!). It has been in storage ever since converted back into track condition again but not used.
The bike comes exactly as you see in the pics, but there is no reason it can't be put back on the roads again if you wanted to convert it or make a street fighter of it (never written off, and as mentioned, the last time it was used was as registered road bike).
It is ridiculously capable machine and was the very last of the crazy era, before the cross plane crank came in and then all of the electronic aids. You won't get more raw experience than this!
Thousands of dollars have been spent on improving the bike, transforming it from great street bike into howling weapon. The engine is totally untouched, however. The bike has been down once on each side due to couple relatively low speed slips some cosmetic damage, but is mechanically excellent. The fairings have been patched up and repainted, as has the original seat (to match the black fairings).
The trailer is included in the sale, as is small box of spare parts. The trailer needs new sheet of plywood on the top but looks to be in pretty good condition otherwise. There is also box of spare attachment points for the trailer. The bike tracks on the trailer are weathered but have been used recently and still held up to the task.
Bike is sold 'as is', the pictures are all current (except for the original white fairings picture), and pick-up will be from Ashburton XXXX. All reasonable offers will be considered!
