Here is great chance to buy yourself Honda Chopper!
This chop project is assembled enough for photos and its clear the huge potential it has.
*[Please note: to those asking questions etc. The Chop will be moved to the Auto Parts section in the event this auction expires prior to sale. (free listing there).I will also then be resuming my original price of $X,XXX as contract work came in and am no longer in any rush to sell. So this listing is your last chance to grab great chop project at VERY low price. NO OFFERS at this price.
CG Factory frame (with number stamp!), man size Springer front end and Honda four KX engine... real chop. Its mostly there as you can see from the photos, coffin tank, bates headlight, XX" rear etc and an easy chop to complete..your way.
Registering chop can be an expensive business and this frame not only has CG factory stamp, but also has previous owners VIN stamped.I bought the frame from guy in VIC who told me it was previously registered with CBXXX engine. The Frame has number stamp (Not simply CBXXX-xxx...etc.) but different stamp, and im inclined to believe him that this was previously registered as CHOPPER. You may want to check out the number yourself from your local rego office as only have his word.
The details..
Frame:This is factory built CG frame, solid, high quality and made specifically for Honda Four engines (Engine aligns perfectly). The frame has CG stamp indicating that it was frame number XX and built in XXXX.
FRAME factory stamp is (CG XX XX)
The headstock also has previous owners VIN stamp and was told it was previously registered as chopper and that is where the number came from. Please do you own research.
FRAME Number is (VXXXXXXP)
Springer:The springer is high quality manufactured item and the stem (which is removable and replaceable with different dia stem) has been machined to take taper roller bearings and fit this frame.Chrome is flaking in some places, but not terribly. The axel has spacers to match and take the currently fitted spool hub wheel. The taper roller bearings are already fitted to the stem.
Engine:CBXXX KX SOHC.. of course! :) drove from Brissy to Sydney to collect this one in person many years ago. It was previously fitted to go kart down there. On bringing it home placed it on bench and hooked it up to coils and battery and got it to fire up. That was probably yrs ago and it hasnt been started since. It turns over and has compression and believe it will fire up again. But you will need to spend some time to flush diesel through it and clean out the gunk, it has sat very long untouched and although its not rust seized and has compression, it is just not turning over very fast on the kick or electric start. day of flushing it through it, followed by fresh oil should spring it back to life. One other thing noticed when first collected it from Sydney is that there has been repair to the crank case in front of the sprocket. Presumably the chain may have came off in the past or the angle of the chain, when it was fitted to go kart may have been the issue. But the previous owner told me it didnt leak oil. (I can sell you another empty crank case if you want back up plan, but the repair looks oil tight to me).
ENGINE Number is (CBXXXE- {...hang on ill go check and update} )
Tank:The Tank is XXXXs coffin tank and has few dings. Wouldnt bother me in the slightest, but if it bugs you then plan of using some filler.
Oil Tank:The oil tank fits the pre drilled holes below the seat area, Its high capacity item and as such will be great for keeping you chop running cool on long runs.Simple to bolt in place, but didnt as was considering fitting HEX oil tank and painting it black.
Exhaust Pipes:I dont have header clamps or would have bolted them up. The chrome is tatty and it may be best to paint. Apparently these are cross over pipes£ But couldnt figure out how they went together by trying to just hold them all in place.. you need hands..and less beer, it seems. LOL
Other parts as shown in the photos, are part of the project package. As you can see the main parts are there and the rest are not that expensive to source. (Front tire has puncture but has good tread. Back tire has had bolt rubbing against it in the past so has damage. Tread good otherwise).Front and Rear Sprockets are good.
I hooked the rear brake up to make transporting easier and the tank and front end are bolted well enough for transport. Engine is aligned, but only loosely fitted as didnt yet fit the chrome mounting plates (please see photos of parts that come with the chop). Again, was deliberating painting black. So thats decision for you. can easily tighten the front mounting bolt well enough to hold the engine for transporting interstate if you like.
Please note that the rear hub has corrosion and better to re chrome (or paint) The rear rim was pretty rusty and (like everything) just hit it with some Matt black to suit my preferences. hate polishing stuff.
This is an easy project to complete and as you can clearly see its REAL chopper :).
I can box the parts and attach to the frame for transporting. (Couriers tend to prefer one wheelable item, with brake).
Asking price is bargain, do your homework and try buy frame like this with number stamp. This is great opportunity if you have passion for Honda Choppers. Its the last Honda four have for sale and sad to see it go.
Anyway,*You bid to buy not to look. Looking is free and encouraged! but prior to bidding.Interstate bidders welcome, but you will need to organise and pay for the courier. can make myself available for collection and help with loading. (Payment must of course have cleared first).
I can deliver within XXX klms of Lowood QLD XXXX for $XXX.
Payment within days of auction ending.
THIS CHOPPER IS ADVERTISED WITH MY OTHER PARTS ELSEWHERE, but in the event that there is bid on the item will endeavor to let the auction conclude.
Good luck bidding!
