RESERVE LOWERED
Up for sale is my daily transport over the past years.
This bike is truly excellent to ride, and comes from an era when bikes were built properly. This model is known to be highly reliable, and this has proven true over the past few years that I've owned the bike. It has ample power, lets the rider sit in comfortable semi-upright position and is the best bike i've ever owned for pillioning. The smooth seat is very comfortable and makes long trips very easy.
Originally sold to an older bloke in Hornsby, the bike wasn't ridden much in it's early life and was bit of garage queen. It was then sold to younger guy around the south coast who rode it fair bit. bought the bike on XX/XX/XXXX with XXXXX kms on the clock. As you can see, I've ridden it fair bit over that period, but it certainly isn't worn out. You have to be weary of some of these older bikes, as they are often imported from Japan (well used) and showing km on the clock...
This bike is fitted with very expensive Delkevic exhaust system from the UK. (http://www.delkevic.co.uk/). At full throttle it sounds like a Ferrari - has to be heard to be believed. Saying that, at idle, it doesn't drone and is by no means loud or annoying. It has custom rack for motorbike bags, and has had the rear end professionally redone with slim line indicators instead of the stupid huge OEM ones with all that plastic crap around them looks awesome.
The bike is currently out of rego, but has blue slip and will be sold with XX months rego. will organise the rego after deposit is paid and you will get full XX months rego. The price without rego (but still with blue slip) is $XXXX. The current plate won't be sold with the bike It'll have whatever the RMS issue on the day (black letters on yellow).
All work completed on my ownership (most recent to oldest):Oil changed every months or XXXXkm, Castrol Activ XXWXX used. Filter done every time. (Inside this engine is spotless the oil is few months old at the moment and is still golden brown)New chain and both sprockets (last week)New clutch cable (X/X/XXXX)Seat retrimmed in thick UV resistant vinyl - looks OEM. Air Filter and Rear Tyre (XX/XX/XX)Brake Pads and Bleed (Front and Rear) (XX/X/XX) see the photos for brake pad level they are HH (not HHH sintered too bitey)Manual Cam Chain Tensioner (X/X/XXXX) notorisously unreliable so replaced with more reliable versionCylinder head refurb (valve stem seals, full blast, head gasket etc (no material shaved off head though) (XX/XX/XXXX) there was nothing wrong, the valves were just bit caked up from rich fuel...Other work includes full carby rebuild (a few times), multiple chains (since new), the list goes on see service bookAbout the bike:The bike still has most of it's original warning stickers indicating chain slack requirements, tyre pressures, maximum weights etc.Original Owner's Warranty, Service Policy Manual and Owner's Manual are included in the sale. The Service booklet is up to date. Battery is Absorbent Glass Matt (AGM) type and is very low maintenance leave it for month and she fires right upFront Tyre is Metzeler Rennsport with about XX% tread. Rear Tyre is a Michelin Pilot Road with about XX% tread.Has both side stand and rear stand that lifts the rear wheel off the ground has been very handy. Sold with spare key and Honda OEM blanks in case another needs to be cut (I saw them so bought them...)Has been dropped (by me) times all of which were stationary. Twice on my mother in law's driveway (it's doozie) and once from being parked on the side stand on soft grass. As result there is crack in the fairings below the left indicator still looks cracked but it's been repaired from the inside so is pretty solid. Stock Exhaust and Screen (untinted) sold with bike. If you've read this far you must be pretty keen, give me call on XXXX XXX XXX to arrange look Unless you turn up with cash, there won't be any test rides I've watched someone steal bike right in front of the seller just got on and rode off. Happy for you to test ride, but you need to be very very serious about buying it.
