This XXXX BMW RXX/X is one of the best restorations of any motorcycle you'll ever see. It was fully and comprehensively restored in Chicago by an airplane mechanic very familiar with these bikes. He was smart enough to recognize the original initial still intact underneath the tank from the person than pinstriped it at the factory. It was taped over for the repaint of the tank and can still be seen. The frame was powder coated and most of the original fasteners retained. It starts easily on one kick even after sitting for while, and it runs extremely well. There are less than X,XXX miles on the restoration.Taking the dipstick out and peering inside reveals brand new motor. Both the motor and transmission were both fully rebuilt, since the bike had ground up restoration. The bike holds the perfect, factory recommended "tick over", an extremely low idle.While many people look for the RXX or RXXS, real enthusiasts know that the RXX is better bike. As the displacement increased, he bikes vibrated more. The RXX is so smooth going down the road, and is real pleasure to ride. The only things keeping it from being true XXX point bike are few nearly invisible touchups and non-noticable in the rear fender on the right hand side of the bike from where the dual seat was previously installed. This bike is GORGEOUS.
