XXXX TRIUMPH TIGER TXXXUp for auction is very unique Triumph TXXX Tiger with great history. This bike was owned and built by legendary sidecar racer Bob Bakker. Bob purchased the Triumph off the showroom floor, new in XXXX. He immediately stripped it down and set it up for racing. He raced this bike in the Western desert races, Big Bear races, and on Catalina Island. In XXXX Bob blew rod through the stock motor (These original cases are included in the sale). At this point Bob put in motor from of his sidecar racers. The bottom end is from XXXX XXXcc Bonneville....big bearing model. (TXXX-DXXXX). The engine has drop in Chantland XXXcc special alloy cylinder using XX:X high compression  racing piston. The crankshaft has been rebalanced fir the XXXcc kit. The cams MoJo (Johnson Motors) racing cams. The transmission is stock Triumph pre unit trans, using Barnett racing clutch.. The Lucas  magneto is very special John Cooper racing magneto. In XXXX Bob took it to the Lucas factory when he was racing sidecars in the UK and they rebuilt it for him there. Due to the high compression of the engine custom dial was added to adjust the ignition timing on the fly.When brought the bike three years ago Bob estimated lee than XXXX miles on  the rebuild. The bike has new rear tire and spokes and new Barnett control cables. The front wheel was replaced with later model twin leading shoe brake setup and Ceriani Racing front forks. The exhaust is special  into Xunite original exhaust comes with the bike. Bike also comes with rear rack and another solo seat for passenger. It takes X-X kicks to start it up, she runs great, with no smoke,  pulls like train
