Suzuki GSXXXXXET

Welcome to the auction for my GSXXXXXET special. In total, I've owned this bike for seventeen years and in it's current guise, was six years in the making with no expense spared to create truly one off motorcycle.
As have few other bikes and only one arse, have only covered XXX miles on this machine since completion of the build two years ago so, it is with great regret that must let her go so that the lucky buyer can enjoy it to it's full capacity.
The standard shock mounts have been retained so returning the bike to classic twin shock setup would be 'plug & play'.

Engine:
Rebuilt by Ken Cooper of Cooperised Racing.
XXXXcc Wiseco pistons and rings.
Gas flowed cylinder head with stock cams on adjustable sprockets, XXX inlet and XXX exhaust timing.
GSXXX oil pump gears fitted for improved oil flow.
New cam chain with billet tensioner.New clutch friction plates, stock and heavy duty clutch springs.
All new gaskets and seals used throughout (Suzuki, Cometic and Wiseco head gasket).
Earls oil cooler and lines fitted along with 'EFE' oil filter cover.
Main engine components vapour blasted prior to rebuild and rebuilt engine sprayed with Eastwoods high temp silver paint.
Alternator, sprocket, clutch and ignition covers polished and fitted with new "TSCC" emblems.Cam end covers replaced with new.
Breather fitted to oil filler on clutch cover.
GSXXXXXEFE starter motor and intermediate gears fitted.Starter clutch overhauled.
Carburettors Mikuni RSXX flat slides, c/w accelerator pumps, ultrasonically cleaned and fitted with new seals and gaskets throughout.
K & dual pod air filters fitted.
Pingel high flow fuel tap.
IgnitionDyna-S system fitted with stock mechanical advancer.Dyna coils (Green) fitted with Taylor silicone leads and caps in Blue.
Stock NGK plugs.ExhaustSpeed Products stainless steel Cobra system with shortened can and altered link pipe retained at cylinder head on stainless steel studs and extended brass nuts.
Ignition and carburation set up by Stuart Young at YPE (Young's Performance Engines), Bonnyrigg.

Frame:
Stock frame with the subframe shortened by X", bracing fitted to area above swing arm pivot along with adjustable top shock absorber mounting fabricated and installed.Further brackets removed/altered/replaced for fitment of altered battery box, rear master cylinder and bodywork.
All TIG welded by coded welder.
Blasted and powder coated black.

Front end:
Kawasaki ZXRXXXHX forks, yokes, wheel and brakes.Fork stanchions re chromed with new bushes and seals fitted, sliders blasted and powder coated silver.Bottom yoke fitted with standard steering spindle, de seamed and painted.
Top yoke machined to accept black anodised bar risers and fitted with machined brackets to retain standard clock binnacle.
Brake calipers overhauled with new pistons, seals, pins and pads.New master cylinder fitted.All brake lines manufactured by Venhill Engineering with black covers and stainless fittings.Wheel powder coated gunmetal.

Back end:
Honda VFRXXX swing arm reduced in width by XXmm to fit frame, new bearing housings machinedto suit.
Powder coated black.Custom made shock by The Shock Factory (Mike Cabon).
Custom made adjustable 'dog bones'.
Rear hub rebuilt with machining carried out to hub and sprocket to bring chain run inboard of frametubes.Rear brake caliper overhauled with new pistons, seals, pins and pads.Rear master cylinder overhauled with new seals.Brake line manufactured by Venhill Engineering, also with black cover and stainless fittings.Custom built registration plate mount, powder coated black.
Rear wheel from Honda VFRXXX, five spoke, powder coated gunmetal.

Bodywork:
Standard, European specification, large tank, side panels, headlight nacelle and tail fairing.Front mudguard is early GSXRXXXX item, all painted by Gav & Dunc Payne of Minted Designs in standard 'British Gas', black/blue colour scheme with exception of blue metal flake through the lacquer.New tank and side panel badges fitted.
Headlight is modern 'Raybrig' unit.
Seat shortened to suit shortened subframe and re-covered by Steve at Lucky Seven in combination of plain and basket weave vinyl.
Original grab rail powder coated silver and refitted.
Rear 'mudguard' infill panels are custom made in stainless steel.

Electrics:
New, old stock, standard loom but with modifications for altered battery position.
Aprilla handlebar switchgear with relays installed for lights and horn functions.
LED indicators with appropriate flasher unit.LED registration plate lamp and front side light installed.Battery is MotoBatt unit.
Battery leads (starter solenoid, starter motor and main earth) are heavy duty car items with crimped copper connectors.
All electrical connections are standard Japanese crimped bullet or spade types supplied by Wiring  Products Ltd.

Miscellaneous:
All swing arm, suspension linkage, front wheel and steering head bearings and seals were replaced with high quality items during the course of the build.
Clutch and throttle cables are new.
All powder coating was carried out by Mark Two Powdercoaters in East Lothian.All fasteners are AX (XXX grade) stainless steel unless where bespoke Suzuki parts have been refinished in factory bright zinc plate.
Tyres fitted are Michelin Pilot Road X.
This motorcycle has been built to the highest standards with no corners cut.
Any inspection is welcomed.Originally an American import but registered in my name since XXXX.New MOT as of XX/XX/XXXX.
