1954 BSA 125cc Bantam
Here is very pretty little 125cc Bantam, restored to quite high standard and in excellent running order.Starting is very easy and the engine sounds great. The bike rides nicely too, quick enough up to 40mph +. The speedo is working OK, the lights are good with or without the battery. The brakes are decent enough gears & clutch are A1 and the bike feels pretty good all round. It does make change to ride something so light and easy to get in and out of the shed and easy to get on and off its stand! The bike comes with V5C registration doc. Date of registration is 29th July 1954, registration PS 2407 is original (but not transferable to other vehicles).Frame number is BD2 93139, engine number DDB 17034.Registered for historic vehicle (free) road tax and it is of course also pre-60 MOT exempt.Cosmetically the bike is exceptionally clean & tidy. It has excellent quality enamel on the frame in very good order. Wheels & spokes are also enamelled well Tank & mudguards have very high standard paintwork. The pin-striping & decal on the tank are under lacquer and smooth to the touch!Front & rear tyres are both as new ??Quests?? which are similar in pattern to Dunlop Universals. The carb is modern Del Orto and works very well. There are no missing fins from the barrel but one or two hardly noticeable very tiny chips on the top fins of the head.Very good chrome on exhaust, kick-starter, gear lever etc. This is tidy, eyecatching little Bantam seemingly well sorted and raring to go!Don?t miss this learner legal classic! One of the most well loved and well remebered bikes of the era!
